partied on the salt flats for a minute on the trip.
First night in SF. We ate a bubba gump shrimp co at the navy pier of san francisco...awesome shrimp by the way and then our waitress started a forest gump trivia contest between us and some surrounding tables...I think we won.

at the aquarium there was also this penguin that bent over and shit all over another one and the one that got shit on was totally unfazed by it.
Work wise I patch clamped (took voltage control of) a pyramidal neuron in a mouse brain slice that had been shot with a piece of gold dust that had DNA on it encoding a glowing jellyfish protein. You can see the dust particle (black dot in the glowing neuron). I was pretty stoked about it. That neuron is about 1/10 the diameter of a human hair.

Awesome. I can't wait to hang out in Dallas...wait, no I want to come to SF and hangout. I'll see you in Dallas; but I won't like it as much.
